The Golden Dragon story begun when Gang Shi, a young chef from the heart of the Beijing capital, with 12 years kitchen experience of a 5-star luxurious leisure place named the PALACE HOTEL, came to Canada for purchasing a dream of managing a restaurant of his own. Holding the knowledge of various regional cuisines, with little money but a lot of heart, Gang Shi and his family started their Golden Dragon in Abbotsford, BC. With a vest menu of chicken, beef, pork, seafood, and vegetarian dishes, the fine dining restaurant introduced the robust flavours of Mandarin, Cantonese and Szechuan spicy cuisines to west Canada, as well as a selection of sweets and crispy appetizers all prepared from authentic Chinese recipes. Honey spicy beef, deep fried prawns, B.B.Q pork chow mein turn out fresh, traditional meals and provide a common meeting place for neighbourhood families and students to gather, socialize and eat. Following the service of tradition from a hotel, Abbotsford’s Golden Dragon restaurant offers flavourful, authentic Chinese cooking in a casual, family-friendly environment. Dedicated to serving the freshest and healthy food for stomach, the Golden Dragon chefs make many of their ingredients in house, and cook mostly meal to order hot to maintain the best exotic flavour.
